Developing Milestone Plans
Milestone Plans are the organizational framework for how Milestones are delivered to students. Think of them as curated roadmaps that guide students through their college and career readiness journey. All students are automatically assigned to the "Core" plan by default. This plan contains the complete set of default Overgrad Milestones, which can be edited and customized by District Account Managers to better suit your district's specific needs.
For more targeted guidance, districts have the option to create custom Milestone Plans. A new Milestone Plan allows a district to create a specific set of Milestones and assign it to a select group of students. This is a feature for supporting specialized student populations. For example, you could create a plan for students in a specific academy, for students on a particular athletic track, or for those in a college access program. All students will see the “Core” set of Milestones, but only students assigned to a custom plan will see the additional Milestones within that plan, providing a clear and focused path tailored specifically to their needs.
Select “+ New Milestone Plan” to create a new plan. Select “Add Students to Plan” to find students from a student list or by their student ID number.
Only students added to the specific plan will appear in the table. Should students ever need to be removed from the specific plan, you can click on the checkbox next to their name, then use the Menu at the top left hand corner of the table to “Remove from Plan”.
When creating the new Milestone Plan, you can use the “Manage Milestones” page to add Milestones specific to this plan. Review Customizing Milestones for a detailed overview of this process.
