Overgrad and FRNYC Overview

How does Overgrad support Future Ready NYC (FRNYC) requirements and KIMs?

Overgrad supports Future Ready NYC (FRNYC) by providing a digital platform where students complete required career exploration and planning activities, and where educators can monitor progress in real time toward related KIMs.

Overgrad is used to:

  • Administer the Career Interest Survey
  • Complete the Career Reflection Survey
  • Document 1 on 1 advising sessions
    • Individual Progress Review's and 1 on 1 Postsecondary Planning Conferences documented on Overgrad will transfer to STARS College and Career Planning Tracker. Items documented directly in STARS will not transfer to Overgrad (nor are you required to duplicate the note into Overgrad)

Overgrad does not automatically determine which students are part of an FRNYC pathway; instead, schools should manage FRNYC tagged students via a custom field in the student profile titled "School Pilot". For instructions on managing FRNYC student status in Overgrad, see this help desk article.
